James Dean

One of my favorites at the moment. This band has a very unique sound. Its like a screamo/post-rock band but without really any screaming. Im going to call it "tempermental emo." They have broken up and this is everything. Very catchy songs. Enjoy!

La Dispute - Here, Hear III

Please support this, it's incredible that these guys are able to do this!

Here, Hear III

Punch

Female fronted thrashy hardcore that has the drummer from Loma Prieta/Sailboats. Their full-length is probably in my top 5 of the year, but I still haven't narrowed down my list so...

Ampere - All Our Tomorrows End Today

Pretty intense, well-known, and prolific screamo band featuring Will Killingsworth of Orchid fame. They consist of short chaotic screamo songs with some really awe-inspiring guitar parts. Personally I like them more than Orchid

Antilles/ The Juniper Wait split

I decided to exclude this from my Antilles post but you can check that for more Antilles music. Anyways, The Juniper Wait was a really spacey Post-Rock band from Ohio. Wish they were still around, but I guess everything good has to come to an end.

Rainer Maria

So I was thinking that this blog might need some female passion ;-) Rainer Maria ruled my ipod a few months ago, was like the only thing I listened to. They are super catchy and really emotional. Some really cool lyrics as well. They have a ton of albums but for now im just going to put up essentials because im lazy.

Raein - Ogni Nuovo Inzio

I had the extreme pleasure of seeing these guys on Sunday. I had only really listened to Il n'y a Pass de Orchestre and their self-titled. Both being fantastic CD's, but I picked up their newest record at the show and it blows both of those out of the water. I truly regret not listening to this when it first came out, it's perfect classic European screamo, utilizing some really cool melodic passages with their three guitarists. If you waited on this album like I did, please don't!

Kaddish

Kaddish is a Scottish Screamo band and they are amazing. They definitely have a unique sound, which is brought on by some really cool guitar melodies. Their are lots of heavy parts as well. "Sans Doute" is my favorite track. Enjoy!

John Cota

I am sad to say that this band is no more. They only put out 5 songs, but they are seriously some of the best 10 minutes of music in my opinion. A cool mix of chaos and melody. the calculator side of the split is also fantastic.

Bridge and Tunnel EP

"We are a band from New York. We are close buddies that are into being close buddies. We play or have played in bands such as Latterman, Fellow Project, Con Amore, Slingshot Dakota, The Solidarity Pact, and Regarding I" From their Myspace

They remind me of a lot of the mid-90's emo bands. Their full length, East/West is much better and I'll upload that later, but I already had this uploaded to mediafire so I figured I'd put it on here.
